About Me

My Philosophy

I am a doula, providing services through out the last 12 years. I provide services to all women from different walks of life. To those that need translation and to those that do not. My main goal is to not turn anyone away.  It is especially important for high risk moms to be relaxed, prepared and as stress free as possible before and during their deliveries. Thus, I take special care to make all moms to be as empowered, educated and relaxed as possible. That goal is achieved through information sessions during prenatal visits. Working to understanding what mother likes and expects out of her birth experience. Keeping a calm and soothing environment as much as possible. Providing informational, physical and emotional support for expectant mothers and their families before, during birth, and post partum.

My Story

I was pregnant with my first child while attending a university and studying for my Bachelors of Science Degree. Little did I know what pregnancy was about, and what labor and birth would entail. I was very unprepared for labor and birth and went into delivery room (with my young husband) blind without any education, research or support. I had a fairly difficult delivery of a large baby. On that day I woke up and came to the following conclusion. Do your research, be prepared and reach out for support. The more I learned about pregnancy and delivery, the more I became fascinated by it. I started my journey of helping other women to be prepared, empowered and knowledgeable about pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum. And be happy with their birth experience. With being a high risk for almost all of my pregnancies, I became painfully aware of very few choices I had for labor flexibility. Thus, I  do my best to help all moms to be as comfortable as possible, and in optimal control in any setting, but especially those that have high risk pregnancies. Also, understanding clearly about what is happening is a must for all birthing women.

Also, I offer fluent Ukrainian and Russian translation (only to those women who are in the need of a translator).
